Woodland Trust Project
16/03/2010
easi-edge Safety Solutions have supplied in excess of 500 linear metres of perimeter edge protection to a prestigious structural timber frame project in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
The impressive build will be home to the new headquarters for the Woodland Trust. Their aim is to create a highly innovative and sustainable building within a realistic budget.
Timber frame subcontractor, B & K Structures have installed a unique cross laminated timber frame structure featuring cross laminated timber floor panels with composite concrete radiator panels with cross laminated walls and roof panels.
With a unique fixing for structural timber frames, easi-edge was the first choice to provide edge protection to protect workers.
Senior Project Manager, Peter Clayton for B & K Structures said “The installation of easi-edge has been a great success. Our operatives were able to install the barriers very quickly and efficiently.”
easi-edge barriers are renowned for being extremely hard-wearing, light weight and highly visible. They are also sustainable making them the perfect choice for a project of this nature.
Peter continued “The service we have received from easi-edge has been very professional from the start. I have no hesitation in utilising easi-edge products on future projects.”
easi-edge demonstrated their commitment to product development and customer service on this project by running a series of special tests on the structural timber frame fix to determine the strength and durability of the product. Needless to say it passed with flying colours!
The Woodland Trust hope the building will reflect the energy and vitality of the charity. The project is due to be completed during 2010.
