Cutting Edge Art
easi-edge have started work on site at the new £14 million expansion project to Leeds College of Art.
The scheme, which has been in development for over two years and is their largest capital investment to date, is the initial stage of the College’s strategy to become the first specialist arts university in the North of England.
The original building has reached capacity and the additional building and purpose-built spaces will allow the college to expand and diversify the courses on offer.
The structure will span up to 5 storeys and easi-edge are supplying approximately 1,400 LM of edge protection barriers for Main Contractors, ISG. Once complete (estimated summer 2018), the structure will cover approximately 65,000 sq ft and house a coffee shop, 230-seat auditorium, public exhibition gallery, as well as a variety of art, design and performance amenities.
